THERE IS A LACK OF FOSTER HOMES – YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
February 25 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Youths in foster care need you! There are over 17,000 youths in the Illinois foster care system at this time. DCFS in Lake County faced a huge influx of children in foster care during the past year. It’s a crisis that must be addressed. Foster parenting is a team effort dedicated to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community’s most vulnerable children. As always, the system is extremely stretched and these children need more than the system can provide. CASA Lake County is organizing an informal evening of learning and discussion on Monday, February 25 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Lloyd room of the Winnetka Library. A CASA manager, a foster mother and a CASA volunteer will be there to answer your questions as well. Light snacks will be provided.
The photo is of the Lloyd room. It will be set up by the library to accommodate at least 30 people. The chairs will be arranged in a circle and a table in the back will have light snacks.
There are no words to express the immense gratification in helping the helpless.
We hope to see many of you on February 25.
