- Dr. Seuss

About:

The mission of Argentium Care is to support the efforts of older adults to remain in their homes: we make living easier. Over 40 years ago we saw a need, and so began our journey, to support the adults in our communities. We founded a non-profit to focus on delivering the highest level of service and support. We achieve this with our two core programs:

-Argentium Home Care, licensed through the IL. Dept. of Public Health

-Argentium Senior Connections a volunteer friendly visitor program

We also sponsor many free community programs to educate and engage older adults and their families.

Argentium Care depends on volunteers to assist with many programs. We offer a variety of opportunities including working in our friendly Evanston office, supporting and/or facilitating workshops, helping to plan or manage events and our premier volunteer program, Senior Connections.  Argentium Senior Connections volunteers make a difference in the life of an older adult through weekly visits. Volunteers and their older adult may sit and talk, play cards, go for a walk or even go out to eat or shop.  Volunteers come from around the globe and from all lifestyles including college students, families with young children who want to “adopt” a grandparent, working career professionals, empty nesters and retired folk. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Argentium Care please complete an on-line volunteer application at: https://argentiumcare.org/volunteers or call 847.864.7274 for more information on any of our opportunities.
