Our mission is to provide special needs individuals the opportunity to enhance their quality of life by participating in a horsemanship program directed by PATH certified riding instructors and a Hippotherapy program administered by licensed therapists. We will provide life skills through a vocational program that encompasses many aspects of agricultural life. We will utilize rescued horses whose temperament allows them to be included in a meaningful second career.
We are currently seeking volunteers looking to do community outreach, fundraising, as well as those looking to assist in our general program.Horsefeathers Therapeutic Riding NFP relies on the energy of our dedicated and dynamic volunteers as an essential part of our daily operation. We provide training in a positive, supportive environment which fosters growth and allows continual opportunities to learn more about horses and working with individuals in the disabled community. Previous horse experience/knowledge is not required.
