"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

- Dr. Seuss

We believe that meaningful volunteer experiences have the power to inspire individuals to make a lifelong practice of giving their time and resources to charitable and civic causes.

The Kindness Connection (TKC) is an innovative non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism by connecting schools, groups, and/or individuals with those in need through service-learning activities. The Kindness Connection started as a vision of two Wilmette, IL mothers who wanted to find meaningful age-appropriate volunteer projects to do with their children, in order to teach their kids the values of giving back and of having compassion for others. Since The Kindness Connection started in 2007, we have reached 16,400+ volunteers and have delivered 25,000+ handmade projects including placemats to elder care facilities, medals for Illinois Special Olympians, keychains for Habitat for Humanity residents, pencil bags for kids in Armenia and more. We have taught children the value of volunteer work in schools in Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston, Kenilworth, and Chicago. We have held 11 public events as well as several corporate events for Morningstar, BCG, CVS, Allstate and Northwestern University. Join the fun and action and volunteer with The Kindness Connection . . . where kindness educates, inspires, and grows.

Opportunities Available with Kindness Connection

The Kindness Connection is looking to expand its board. There are a few open positions, including running fundraising events, helping bring the program to local schools, and reaching out to local companies to introduce the new Corporate Program.
