Youth Board Haven offers area youth an opportunity to become more involved. Youth Board members have a chance to develop their leadership skills and help Haven grow as an agency. The Youth Board meets at Haven once a week (typically on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm). Their goal is to help fundraise and raise awareness of mental health issues in the community. Looking for a way to meet others and make a difference?

The Young Adult Board of Haven Youth and Family Services is comprised of young professional, community minded adults from 21-35 years old who have a strong desire to serve youth and adolescents and promote healthy lifestyles. The purpose of the Young Adult Board is to create public awareness of Haven’s mission, foster a spirit of volunteerism, learn skills necessary to serve in voluntary leadership roles with non-profit organizations and participate in occasional fundraising events that enable Haven to continue their work within the North Shore community. The Young Adult Board will meet approximately four times a year and members will have an opportunity to meet peers, network with one another and socialize with others in the Chicago area. These get-togethers will be informal and mostly held in the city at local eateries, etc. Businesses and corporations are often pleased when their employees show an interest in their community!
