Court Advocates for abused and neglected children are needed on an ongoing basis.
CASA volunteers are appointed by the judge to gather information about the child and provide the court with reports and recommendations regarding the child’s “best interests.”
Thorough training is provided (40 hours over 6 weeks) evening and daytime training options are available. Every advocate is supervised and guided by an Advocate Manager. On average, advocates invest around 10-15 hours/month on their cases. A 2 year commitment (or, ideally, for the life of the case) is requested.
