Fred Outa Foundation

The Fred Outa Foundation is devoted to improving the lives of orphans in wartorn and poverty stricken countries. Specifically, the foundation works with orphan children who live in Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. The foundation raises money to help provide basic food, medicine and school supplies for the students of Spurgeons Academy and St. Esther’s Girls High School, located in Kibera Slum, Nairobi.

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Travelers Aid Chicago

Travelers Aid Chicago provides crisis intervention, information, and social services to vulnerable and at-risk travelers and visitors at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Travelers Aid is a program of Heartland Human Care Services.

The City of Evanston has created, along with important community partners, Volunteer Evanston, a program with the aim of connecting volunteers to organizations and opportunities within Evanston.

Salvation Army is an International, Evangelical Christian organization dedicated to providing individuals worldwide with spiritual, physical, social and emotional support.Activities range from direct service to indirect support. We have opportunities for groups and individuals on both an ongoing or one-time only basis.

Haven Youth and Family Services

Haven Youth and Family Services was founded in 1976 and began with an outreach program for youth. Soon thereafter, we began a 24-hour crisis intervention and emergency housing program for adolescents and their families. Since then, the agency has continued to grow and develop by offering programs focused on prevention. Some of these programs include psycho-educational workshops, youth boards, service-learning opportunities, around the clock crisis intervention, outreach and ongoing counseling.
