Ten Thousand Villages-Evanston, is a Fair Trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe. We feature  products from more than 130 artisan groups in 38 countries. We seek to establish long-term buying relationships in places where skilled artisans are under- or unemployed, and in which they lack other opportunities for income.

Fred Outa Foundation

The Fred Outa Foundation is devoted to improving the lives of orphans in wartorn and poverty stricken countries. Specifically, the foundation works with orphan children who live in Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. The foundation raises money to help provide basic food, medicine and school supplies for the students of Spurgeons Academy and St. Esther’s Girls High School, located in Kibera Slum, Nairobi.
