*911 Day of Service and Remembrance (Patriot Day) Friday, September 11, 2015 – Purpose: To collect, preserve, and present the history of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania and the public responses to them.  – in honor of those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks against America. *Make A Difference Day, Saturday, October 24, 2015 – Always Fourth Saturday in October (not necessarily the last Saturday in October). Purpose: To inspire and reward volunteers.
